Yes is the simple answer to the question. Each appointment is set up as an individual session. Group sessions have been set up when I visited a senior living facility or many of the California Veterans Homes.

US Navy Able Seman World War II Herbert Grushow was born on April 3rd, 1927. Herbert served in the US Navy for two years, joining after graduating high school. An able seaman (AB) is a seaman and member of the deck department of a Navy ship with more than two years of experience at sea. He is considered "well acquainted with his duty. An able seaman’s duties may include work as a watch-stander, everyday shipboard day work, or a combination of both.” Watch-stander duties include standing watch as helmsman, the man taking orders from the officer of the deck regarding the ship's safe navigation and course. Sometimes, able seamen stood as a lookout, visually ensuring the ship’s safe navigation, especially in inclement weather like fog. The duties of day-to-day work were to perform general maintenance, repair, sanitation, and upkeep of material, equipment, and areas in the deck department. This never-ending task on a ship at sea included the constant duties of chipping old paint and surface runs off the ship and sealing the steam against the garage of the saltwater spray of the ocean. Everyone aboard the ship also stood watch at General Quarters, or battle stations, when the ship and its crew had to fight the ship. This included gun stations, loading crews or shooting crews, and all the members of the teams assigned to handle damage or fires aboard the ship. Herbert spent two years in the Navy before the end of World War II, when he was honorably discharged. Herbert is currently living in the West Los Angeles Veterans Home. The Veterans Homes of California offers affordable long-term care to aged and disabled veterans and their eligible spouses and domestic partners.
